A GUARDIAN'S CRY FOR HELP - Chapter Fifteen

Merida waved her arms at Jack. “Jack! Toothless ditched me!” She shouted.
“Well, what do you want me to do?” He asked from where he stood on a rooftop.
“I need you to help me fight!” Merida shouted.
“You want MY help?!” Jack asked, throwing an ice strike behind him without looking. It hit a nightmare that had been about to attack the young Viking behind him.
“Shut up and get down here!” Merida replied. Jack grinned and flew down to her level. “Do you know how many we’ve got left?” Merida asked.
“So far, we’re doing good!” Jack replied. “With the Vikings’ help, we only have a few left! Most of the ones still alive have fled.”
Suddenly, someone swung down next to them using what looked at first to be rope, then it could be proven that it was long blonde hair. “Have you seen Pitch at all?” Rapunzel asked. Jack shook his head.
“That’s probably bad.” Merida said. Jack nodded.
“Yes, I’d say it is.” Jack spun around to send an ice strike at Pitch but it was too late. He wouldn’t be able to defend in time. Pitch already had his sword raised above his head.
Then, suddenly, he was knocked out of the way and pinned to the ground by a huge black beast. Pitch looked up at the huge green eyes, their pupils mere slits, fear written all over his face.
Then Merida, Rapunzel, and Jack noticed that someone was riding Toothless. But the figure couldn’t be seen because of their position in the shadows.
“You there! Why did you steal my dragon?” Merida asked, thinking it was a young Viking. The rider just smiled and jumped off of Toothless.
The three watched, shocked, as Hiccup stepped into the light. He smiled at the three of them. “The sad thing is, I missed just about the whole battle.”
“HICCUP!” Merida tackled the boy and pinned him to the ground. “YOU’RE ALIVE!”
“How?!” Jack asked incredulously.
“It’s complicated.” Hiccup replied.
Pitch laughed, fear evident in his voice. “So… this is The Big Four. All of you in one place for the first time…” He laughed. And disappeared into Toothless’s shadow. “I’ll expect greater battles from the four of you in the future…” Then he was gone.
Merida let Hiccup stand up. As soon as he was on his feet, Rapunzel hugged him. Merida laughed and joined in the hug as well. Jack leaned on his staff, then smiled mischievously.
But before he could throw the snowball at Merida, he felt something hit the back of his head. He looked behind him to see Bunny throw another one at him. Jack stepped aside before it could hit him.
“That’s for almost killing me!” Bunny said. Jack laughed and threw one back at him.
Punzie squealed excitedly and threw a snowball at Bunny, missing by about four feet and hitting a rather large Viking instead. It hit him hard in the face and he landed flat on his back. He laughed and sat up. He threw a snowball back at Rapunzel, who blocked it with her frying pan.
As that went on, Merida punched Hiccup in the arm. “That’s for dying.” She said. Toothless realized what she was doing and appeared to smile smugly at Hiccup. Then Merida kissed Hiccup. “That’s for coming back to life.” Hiccup just smiled at her like an idiot. “How’d you do it, anyway?” She asked.
“It wasn’t me.” Hiccup replied. “The man in the moon brought me back. He said something about ‘The Big Four’.”
“Who’s that?” Merida asked.
“I think… it might be us.” Hiccup said. “You, me, Jack, and Toothless.” Toothless growled softly. ‘Idiot human…’ He thought to himself.
Merida laughed. “No, I think it’s you, me, Jack, and Punzie.” She smiled as Jack and Punzie looked over at her and Hiccup as they heard their names.
“The Big Four…” Hiccup said thoughtfully. He smiled. “You never know – this could become a pretty big thing.”
Jack rolled his eyes. “Tuh. I doubt that.”
“Oh, come on.” Hiccup replied. “People said that same thing about riding dragons.”
A few meters away, Ruffnut and Tuffnut watched in amusement.
“Good thing we don’t fight like that.” Ruffnut said.
“Uh-huh.” Tuffnut agreed
